Chamaerhodos erecta (Chamaerhodos) - photos and description
Origin: Native.
General: Upright plants, branching above, profile usually forms a narrow pyramid. Stems, petioles, and leaflets are glandular hairy.
Flowers: A few flowers at stem tips, flowers small, white to 5 mm diameter.
Leaves: Basal leaves in a rosette, divided 2-3 times into linear segments. Leaves measured at 3.5 cm long (including petiole), terminal segments 2-3 mm long. Stem leaves alternate, reduced in size upwards. Leaves with long white hairs.
Height: Height listed in Budd's Flora to 30 cm. I've measured plants to 20 cm tall.
Habitat: Dry prairie hillsides.
Abundance: Common.
